April TTRPG Challenge Day 15: Do You Design In Public Or Private?

For the most part I work in private and, honestly, that bothers me sometimes. I’m a prolific writer; I work as an analyst, columnist and review for tor.com, Barnes & Noble, MYMBuzz and SciFiBulletin with two or three others coming onstream. I own a Hugo Nominated(!!!) podcast and its three sister shows, one of whom I also host. I write tabletop RPG sourcebooks and modules. I work a LOT (And am always up for more so do get in touch). And the odd thing that ties everything together is how invisible those streams tend to be.

Of all of those RPGs tend to be the one people know about the least. To the extent that I’ve had several friends go ‘YOU DO WHAT?!!!’ when I’ve mentioned I’ve written for some of the games I’ve worked on. So the good news is I REALLY honor NDAs and the bad news is I REALLY honor NDAs.

I think, especially with After The War, I’ve got an opportunity to change that. So, when the next project hits, I’ll make a point of writing about the process more and see how that both changes the process and raises the profile. Huh, good conclusion. Thanks, blog challenge!

Here’s my published work so far. If you want to talk to me about a project you’re hiring for, get in touch. Alternately, come say hi on Twitter and I’ll see you back here tomorrow.
