April TTRPG Challenge Day 3: How Did You Start Creating TTRPGs?

I was very lucky that my school, on a small rock in the middle of the Irish Sea, had a flourishing roleplaying game community. That, along with a brief teenage love for Warhammer 40,000 and the fact that there was an ocean between me and everything else, meant I developed two things quickly;  a rich internal fantasy life and a need to make a lot of it external.

That led to games at school (Including memorably, a Crisis on Infinite Earths style mashup that featured Axel Foley, Martin Riggs and other supercops on the same team) and then the local RPG club. Then at University I started running a one night weekly game of Project Twilight.

Roughly two years later that was a 4-5 night a week second job on its third season arc and I was working in a gaming store on the weekends at the same time as finishing my degree. So it took a while to grab me but when it did, it GRABBED me.

Here’s my published work so far. If you want to talk to me about a project you’re hiring for, get in touch. Alternately, come say hi on Twitter and I’ll see you back here tomorrow.
