Martin Bishop (Robert Redford) is a ’70s radical and proto… whatever hackers were before they were hackers. (Hackers, the movie, released just three years later.) Wanted by the government and working under an alias, he leads a team of specialists who test systems security by breaking them. This cyber criminal daycare includes uber-conspiracy theorist Mother (Dan Aykroyd), blind wiretap specialist Whistler (David Strathairn), terrifyingly young genius Carl (River Phoenix), and former CIA agent turned adult in the room who is frantically looking for the door Don Crease (Sidney Poitier). It’s a living. Until the NSA pick up Bish and blackmail him and his team into stealing something for them. A box. Just a box. All they have to do is hold onto the box. And not open it…
