Panels like this remind me why I love comics: it’s a perfect balance of the different elements of the medium contributing to a vital whole. The stark colours, the contrast between Ruby’s delicate flamboyance and Mose’s stoical bulk. The rhythm and snap of the dialogue. The stricken look you don’t need to see on Mose’s face.
