Written by Espen Aukan and directed by Roar Ulthaug, the dendritic duology fizzes with the same maniacal dark whimsy as its ever-present musical refrain. It’s the biggest-hearted, most anti-establishment monster movie series since Godzilla skree-onnnked their first.
